HTC Ocean Note live images leaked, reveal glass back panel and secondary display

“The Ocean Note is expected to be launched as the U Ultra tomorrow”

HTC’s upcoming flagship, allegedly codenamed the Ocean Note, has been the subject of a number of reports and leaks recently. The phone is rumoured to be unveiled as the HTC U Ultra at an event tomorrow. Now just a couple of hours ahead of the unveiling, the HTC Ocean Note’s alleged live images have hit the interwebs, which has revealed one of its key specs.

As seen in the leaked images, the HTC Ocean Note will sport a secondary ticker display above the main screen. The ticker display looks quite similar to the one found on the LG V20 phablet. The image also suggests that the Ocean Note will feature a glass back panel, a big change from the usual aluminium or plastic HTC tends to use. The ticker display shows shortcuts to the camera, Google Search, Ok Google, Twitter, email, and Amazon Prime Music.

The leaked images also suggest that the HTC Ocean Note aka U Ultra will feature a metal frame running around the edges. It will offer a physical home button, which is expected to integrate a fingerprint sensor. We will have more details at the launch event tomorrow, so watch this space.
