HTC has expended its Desire range of smartphones by adding two more phones in the series today dubbed as HTC Desire 601 and HTC Desire 300. The first device mentioned here aims at the mid-range buyers with some high tech features and the second one is an entry level smartphone. Both of the devices will be available to buy in the selected markets beginning October 2013.
The new mid-range HTC phone the HTC Desire 601 which was previously known as HTC Zara packs a 4.5inch qHD display and powered by a 1.4GHz dual core processor along with 1GB of RAM memory. It sports a 5MP rear camera along with HTC One like goodies including Always Smile, Sequence Shot and HTC Zoe gallery. It comes with 8GB of internal storage further expendable up to 64GB via microSD and runs on undisclosed version of Android OS. It is closely related to HTC Desire 600 Dual SIM but offers better processing power under the hood.
On the other hand the new entry level phone in the Desire series the HTC Desire 300 comes with a 4.3inch WVGA display and powered by a 1GHz dual core Snapdragon processor along with 512MB of RAM memory. It packs 4GB of internal storage which is also further expendable up to 64GB just like the above mentioned device. It also comes with 5MP rear and VGA front facing shooters. Both of the devices offer common connectivity features like WiFi and Bluetooth but also support 3G networks for high speed data communication. These devices also have the highly popular BlinkFeed software feature which was originally introduced with HTC One flagship.
In related news, company has also announced a new Blue Vivid color model of the HTC One and HTC One Mini smartphones and the new color variant of both of the devices will be available in selected markets this Quarter.
