HTC originally announced HTC Desire 500 Android smartphone for the mid-range buyers earlier this year in the Taiwanese market and since then it was also expected to launch in India soon. Just a day back we reported that the phone in listed at Saholic online store to launch in India unofficially and now it seems that the phone will be priced at Rs. 14,999 in the country.
<p>After finding the price of the phone in the source code, The Mobile Indian reported</p>
<blockquote><p> “HTC Desire 500 is set to be launched in India. An online retailer (Saholic) has listed the smartphone on its website for with the tag of coming soo. Curiously when we inspected the elements of the webpage, it revealed that the phone will be launched in India for Rs 14,999”.
To remind you, HTC Desire 500 comes with a 4.3inch touch screen LCD display with the resolution of 480*800 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor along with 1GB of the RAM memory. Other features of the phone include an 8MP rear camera along with 1.6MP front shooter. It comes with 4GB of internal storage that can be expendable up to 64 GB via the microSD card slot. Currently the phone is started selling in the European market.
After getting the report from that blog we also checked the source code of the Saholic store and the report is indeed true because the website’s source code mentioned the same price that is reported by The Mobile Indian. It looks like Saholic’s web designers couldn’t keep price of the phone a secret and embedded it into the code before the official launching.
