HP Reveals Slate-7 Tablet on the Android Platform

The Giant Laptop and PCs manufacturers Hewlett & Packard, better known as HP has unveiled a new Android run Tablet naming as HP Slate 7. This is HP’s first Android device, which will be priced around $169 and will be launched in April this year.

The HP Slate 7 sports a 7 inch Touch Screen, and has  a nice stainless steel body, which is just 10.7mm thick. It is powered by 1.6GHz ARM Cortex-A9 Processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM.

According to HP, this tablet sports a FFS+ LCD Touch Screen, which produces a brilliant resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The display will produce nice viewing angles, and will perform very nicely in low light.

HP Slate 7 boasts 8 GB of internal storage capacity, which is expandable using a micro SD card. This Tab houses a 3 Megapixels Rear Camera, and also a front VGA camera for video calls. It also carries connectivity features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 The Slate 7 runs on Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Operating System, making its users enable to access tons of applications and games on this device.

HP Slate 7 boasts additional features like Stereo speakers and Beats Audio. This feature is great at the price at which it is being offered.

This Tab will be a healthy rival to Google’s Nexus 7, which is priced around $199. May be it is prices $30 more than HP Slate 7, but it boasts additional features like NFC, Sensors, GPS and is powered by a Tegra 3 Processor.
