Google planning for online store to sell Android tablets

Want to buy an Android tablet? Soon Google will sell you one through its online store. It is reported that the search giant is preparing to grab a market share in hardware retailing. It is to start with an online store where you can get co-branded tablet PC that runs on Androids operating system. android-jelly-bean Earlier it was heard Google was in plans of selling only Android mobiles through its upcoming Google Store, but seeing the poor sales of Android tablets Google may put it too on shelves. Well, so far there has been no official word from Google about this rumor. The brands which will be on shelves are Android partners Asus, Samsung and few other tablet manufacturers, cited The Wall Street Journal. It is learned some of the smartphones and tablets to be sold on the store would be Google named like the Nexus One smartphone manufactured by HTC. Also, a Google-Asus-branded tablet that is to be released this year. In 2010 Google experimented selling the original Nexus One through online portal, but limited demand of the tablet forced the company shutting down the venture in the same year. This year, as it is rumored, Google may manufacture a wholly Android tablet of its own through Motorola Mobility, Motorola’s consumer arm that was acquired by Google last year for $12.5 billion. These tablets too would be sold by Google through its rumored online store. The launch date of Google online store in the rumored report has not been mentioned so far.
