Google Nexus 6P unboxing: taking the wrapper off the new treat

“Let’s check out what the retail box of the Google Nexus 6P hides”

In an era where the price and features on a smartphone do not directly correspond to each other, you can’t expect what you get. Lately, we’ve seen some rather pricey offerings which do not look as stylish, and we’ve also seen some budget smartphones you might want to flaunt. However, the Nexus 6P (first impressions) takes the simple road. Launched recently, alongside the Nexus 5X (first impressions), the 6P is a thing of beauty which makes sure with its design, that every penny you’ve spent on it, is visible. The Marshmallow-running smartphone rocks a 5.7-inch QHD display and a Nexus Imprint fingerprint sensor. Already drooling? Here’s a quick unboxing to let you know what the Nexus 6P ships with.

A plain white cardboard box, decorated with a silver sleeve, carries the Google Nexus 6P. Take off the lid and you will find things resting neatly in compartments. While a major chunk of the visible space is occupied by the large smartphone on the right, the left side of the box carries a two-pin wall charger rated at 3A and a USB Type-C cable.

The first thing you will notice about the phone, apart from its premium design, is its significant weight, which makes the Nexus 6P feel secure in hands. Beneath the phone, you will find a card which features information about a 90-day introductory subscription to Google Play Music. There’s also a flip-open cardboard package holding all the documentation and a SIM ejection tool. Lifting off the documentation will give you access to a USB Type C to USB Type A cable. There’s no headset included.

Apart from a QHD display and a fingerprint sensor, the spec list of the Nexus 6P includes a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC clocked at 2GHz, 3GB RAM, a 12.3MP primary camera with a dual-LED flash, an 8MP front shooter and a meaty 3,450mAh battery.

The phone can be grabbed in Graphite or Silver hues and comes in two storage variants – 32GB and 64GB. While the former will cost you Rs 39,999, the latter comes with a price tag of Rs 42,999. Flipkart is the exclusive online store partner for the Nexus 6, you can also grab the smartphone from a bunch of offline retailers like Croma, Reliance Digital and The Mobile Store.
