Google has Launched a New Version of Quickoffice for iPad app for all of its Business customers as a free treat. This app will enable one to view, edit and create MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Powerpoint files supporting MS-OFFICE ’97 to ’10. Google has also announced its Android and iPhone versions which will be launched very soon, of which the dates are not yet announced.
Earlier Google acquired Quickoffice, known for its Mobile Suite. Then Google developed it and made it available for its users. This new app will convert MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word without loosing any data including charts, tables and other features.
Google recently has started charging $50 per year for business apps which earlier were free. This App will be a Complimentary free offer to users.
It lacks access to Google drive but can bring files into the Google Cloud. The Regular Quickoffice Pro HD is still available on App store and one can buy it up from there by paying a sum of $7.99.
Quickoffice’s biggest competitor CloudOn has recently launched the latest version of its App which enables you to edit Office documents on mobiles. But its already available on iPhone, iPad and Android phones and Tablets. It also supports Google Drive, DropBox and Microsoft’s Skydrive.
