‘Ek Behtar Zindagi’ for Tata Indicom’s Rural Subscribers!

Tata Indicom has partnered with a VAS solutions provider handygo Technologies to launch  ‘EK Behtar Zindagi’ — the product specially designed to provide day-to-day information to Tata Indicom’s rural subscribers. Through this service, the subscribers can get up-to-the-minute information regarding health, education, finance, weather information, mandi rates, livestocks, agriculture and fisheries. To use this service, Tata Indicom’s customers need to dial in a short code – 556780 (toll free). Subscribers can avail the subscription pack at a charge of Rs 5, 10, 20 per month and gets 50, 100, 200 minutes for 7, 15, 30 days respectively or can continue using the service at Rs 2 per minute on 55678. This IVR based rural solution by handygo Technologies provides authentic information to the rural subscribers. For latest and reliable updates handygo has partnered with various organizations such as Care India, Aviva Life Insurance, Indian Metrological Department, INCOIS, Hariyali Kisan Bazaar, Network for Fish Quality Management and Sustainable Fishing, Transparency International India, Sonalika, EKO India Financial Services to name a few. Within this initiative, Tata Teleservices has employed 50 blind people in association with the National Association of the Blind, Mumbai and the Blind Relief Association in Delhi. These employees have specifically been chosen to make calls for the product ‘Behtar Zindagi’, and to further incentivize the employees, handgyo provides additional bonuses to the most successful callers on a monthly basis. On this pan Indian tie-up, Praveen Rajpal, CEO, handygo Technologies, said, “We envisage great potential in the untapped rural market and are encouraged about the positive feedback from the end consumers. Our IVR based rural product is available in all regional languages along with Hindi and English.”
