Leaks reveal the upcoming Doogee V with all-screen front and under-display fingerprint scanner

“The Doogee V is a mishmash of the Apple iPhone X and the upcoming Galaxy S9”

China-based smartphone maker Doogee looks all set to launch its next in the form of the Doogee V, which seemingly takes inspiration from the Apple iPhone X (review) and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 flagship design.

The renders of the upcoming smartphone have been tweeted by the noted tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks), and give us a look at the device from all angles. The front panel of the phone looks similar to the iPhone X, with a 6.2-inch display and a notch on top. However, in this case, the notch houses only the front camera, earpiece and the proximity sensor. Moreover, there is a slim bezel below the display à la the Samsung Galaxy S9. But the USP of the smartphone has to be what Apple and Samsung have failed to introduce so far – the under-display fingerprint scanner.

Moving on to the rear panel and the chassis, the Doogee V borrows cues from the Galaxy flagships with a curved glass back panel and metal chassis. There is a vertically stacked dual camera module accompanied by a dual tone LED flash on the rear panel, along with the Doogee branding below it. The volume and power buttons are located on the right edge, while the left edge seems to have been left untouched. On its bottom, there is a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C port and a speaker grille, whereas the top panel is where the SIM tray is located.

As of now, apart from the design, nothing concrete about the spec sheet of the Doogee V is known. Of course, we should have the details when the phone goes official, so keep watching this space.
