The Pune based tech manufacturer, Byond has recently unveiled the Phablet PII as a new member of its family of budget friendly devices.
Byond PII sports a 5.7-inch multi-touch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen display which bears a display resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Running on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system, the dual-SIM phablet is powered with a 1GHz processor accompanied by 1GB of RAM.
It flaunts an 8 megapixel rear camera along with a 3MP front-facing camera for video calling. It houses an onboard storage of 4GB which can be further expanded up to 32 GB via Micro SD card.
On the connectivity front, the Phablet PII includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and GPS as its features. It has been fueled with a 2500mAh battery.
Going by the list of specifications of the Phablet PII from Byond, it seems like the device shares most of its features with its elder brother, the Phablet PIII except the operating system that has been upgraded to Android Jelly Bean OS.
Byond has tremendously engineered the Phablet PII, complementing it with a close to 6-inch display. The device may be considered as a great buying option at Rs. 14,999. We may expect the Phablet PII to give a tough competition to the Micromax A116 Canvas HD which priced at Rs. 14,999 boasts a 5-inch IPS display along with a 1.2 GHz Cortex A-7 processor and 1GB RAM. However, with a larger display we may assume the Byond Phablet PII to get a good response from the market.
