BSNL introduces new ‘Maximum’ Rs 999 prepaid plan with 6 months of unlimited calls and data

Earlier this month, the state-run telecom operator BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) launched a new long-term data and voice calling combo plan called ‘KOOL’ for its prepaid subscribers. The plan offered unlimited data and voice calling on all networks for 84 days. Now, the company has introduced a ‘Maximum’ plan for prepaid users, which is a long term data and voice plan.

Launched on the occasion of Maha Shivratri, the new plan has been priced at Rs 999 and offers benefits for one year from the date of recharge. For the first six months, users will be able to enjoy unlimited free voice calling (excluding Mumbai and Delhi circles, which are charged at 60p per minute), 100 free SMSes a day and unlimited free data with FUP set at 1GB, after which the speed will be restricted to 40Kbps. For the next six months, users will be charged 60 paisa per minute for calls (both on-net and off-net), 25 paisa per local SMS and 35 paisa per national SMS.

BSNL is offering the new plan across all circles in India except for the North-East, Jammu and Kashmir, and Assam.
