BlackBerry’s latest offering, the much awaited and hyped BlackBerry Z10 is all set to hit the Indian shores on 25th February this year. BlackBerry India has always released its new phones in the Indian market around the same time as its global launch.
The BlackBerry Z10 is the first smartphone to enter the Indian market that is based on the BlackBerry 10 operating system.
The latest smartphone from the Canadian company has a 4.2 inch LCD touch screen with a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon processor with 2GB of RAM.
The smartphone has 16GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 64 GB via micro SD card. The Z10 hoses a. 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera. The camera features of the Z10 include geo-tagging, continuous auto-focus, image stabilization, face detection and video recording at 1080 pixels with video stabilization.
The wide range of connectivity options on the Z10 include 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi dual band, NFC, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth 4.0, USB, GPS with A-GPS. Finally, the device runs on an 1800mAh Li-Ion battery offering up to 10 hours of talk time and 312 hours of standby.
The Z10 is available in UK, Canada and UAE and will be launched in India before hitting the US markets. This point is a reflection of BlackBerry’s success in the Indian markets and the importance the company sets by its audience here. It is believed that the smartphone might be launched with a price tag of around Rs. 45, 000 and will compete with the likes of the iPhone 5, Nokia Lumia 920 and the HTC Butterfly.
