ARCHOS hints new G10xs tablet line

Archos is readying a new line to Android tablets with enhanced features. The company is trying to get more traction by improving the hardware elements and the device functionality. The new line of tablets will fall under ARCHOS G10xs in 7, 8 and 10-inch variants. ARCHOS G10xs will be competing on a lower-price strategy with high-rise specifications. This time, the GS10xs tablets are expected to carry Capacitive touchscreens instead of those awful resistive screens. archos2012_IMAG0186 ARCHOS is planning to launch three tablet in size variants at different price points. The 7-inch tablet is expected to be priced around €129, an 8-inch slate at €149, and and 10-inch for €199. All the three tablets will run on Android 4.0 OS Ice Cream Sandwich. The Gen10 tablets will be slimmer(7.6mm thickness) than its earlier versions and 1.8mm thinner than Apple’s new iPad revealed last week. All the products will start shipping from September 2012. archos_elements_IMAG0170archos-g10xs_IMAG0177via[Arctablet]
