“So far, the iPhone X is available in two hues – Silver and Space Grey”
Last year in September, Apple unveiled the 10th-anniversary iPhone model called the iPhone X (review). So far, the company has only been offering the iPhone X in two colour variants – Silver and Space Grey. Now a filing from Apple at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has revealed images of an unreleased gold colour variant of the iPhone X. The images have surfaced soon after their 180-day confidentially period lapsed just recently.
It appears that Apple had originally planned to launch the iPhone X in three colour variants. However, the company only managed to launch the phone in silver and space grey variants last year. Now, it seems like the brand could be planning to release the gold variant of the iPhone X in the near future. The gold shade of the device on FCC appears to be similar to the gold colour of the iPhone 8 (review) duo.
According to the reports, Apple had production issues for the gold colour variant of the iPhone. Now, the company is reportedly planning to launch the new colour model to boost the sales of the smartphone. Some other reports also indicate that the Cupertino giant’s future iPhone lineup will also be released in gold variants.
