Apple iPad tops Top 10 Gadget list from Times

It’s that time of the year where you get to see “The top 10 of the year” list from all popular media. However, Times has an unbeatable reputation when it comes to compiling “The top 10” list. They have published the Top 10 list for the year 2010. Leaving aside all other lists, let’s focus on the gadgets that we all love 🙂 In this year’s top 10 gadgets list, 4 gadgets are mobile phones and tablet! top10 The first spot goes to Apple iPad. “It’s not the first touchscreen tablet in the history of computing, but it’s easily the most successful so far. With 3 million iPads sold in their first month alone and a market for interactive magazines and newspapers created almost overnight, Apple finally managed to make tablet computing cool.” The second spot goes to Samsung Galaxy S “Unlike the iPhone, the Galaxy S works with a number of carriers and comes in a number of models. The phone’s best feature is its screen: it’s astonishingly bright, even in daylight. It also is thinner and consumes less power than traditional LCDs, reducing the Galaxy’s overall weight and thickness.” Google Nexus One grabs the 5th spot “Google tried to capitalize on customer frustrations with wireless-phone manufactures and their multiyear contracts as well as the dominant tech company’s brand. The phone was ahead of its time but by only months. Still, Nexus One owners get updates directly from Google and ahead of other Android phone users.” iPhone 4 grabs the 6th spot “While sales of 1.7 million units in the first three days of availability are mighty impressive, the iPhone 4’s 960-by-640-pixel screen resolution is even more impressive. No competitor has been able to stuff as many pixels into a 3.5-in. (9 cm) LCD. What’s more, Apple’s front-facing camera and FaceTime software have finally made mobile video chatting popular with regular people.” The Top 10 Gadgets of 2010 Apple iPad Samsung Galaxy S Apple MacBook Air 11″ Google TV Google Nexus One Apple iPhone 4 Apple TV Toshiba Libretto Dual-screen Laptop Microsoft Kinect Barnes & Noble’s Nook color Last year Motorola Droid took away the honours.
