Apple confirms September 10 press event, to launch successor of iPhone 5

Amidst all the hullabaloo  of IFA 2013 where major tech giants are unveiling their latest products, Apple has sent out a press invite for September 10 the event. While this was not a surprise, as suggested by various rumors, but now Apple has confirmed its event, we can actually look forward to the gadgets to be announced.

What exactly be launched? Apple hasn’t given much hints in the press release. It’s very minimal with the text that “This should brighten everyone’s day”. Reading between the lines and taking cue from colorful bubbles, we might see iPhone 5C, which is expected to be a cheaper iPhone available in vivid colors. As per specifications, it’s rumored to have a 4” screen with a polycarbonate body. to keep the costs down, it will have old processor and camera, which is currently used in iPhone 5.

We will also see the next iteration of iPhone 5, which is tipped to be called as iPhone 5S. It will surely have latest processor in the form of A7 chip which is believed to be 20% more efficient than current generation A6 chip. It will likely have an 8 MP camera only, but with dual-LED flash to improve the low-light performance. The most surprising thing about the 5S is its chassis color which is believed to in Gold/ Champagne color, apart from usual Silver and Black variants. Another rumor suggests that the device will have a fingerprint sensor, under the home button.

Along with the devices, Apple will launch the final release of iOS 7, which was released as beta back in May at WWDC.
