“Page Flip will be available on Kindle devices and the iOS and Android apps as an OTA update”
Amazon has announced Page Flip for Kindle users, which aims to completely overhaul the navigation experience of the users while reading. The update has been released soon after the company upgraded its budget Kindle e-book reader, making it lighter and thinner, doubling the RAM and adding a white colour option to the mix.
With Page Flip, readers can easily flip back and forth between pages to reference different parts of the book while they read. Amazon says that this makes it easy to refer back to images, switch between a map and your current page, or even find your highlighted areas. In addition to this, users can zoom out to get a bird’s-eye view of the book, making it easier and faster to find and switch between pages.
Page Flip also automatically saves the page you’re reading, pinning it to the side of your screen and making it accessible to the user at the touch of a finger. The new feature will be available as a free over-the-air update for Kindle E-readers, and the free Kindle app for iOS and Android.
