Alleged specs of HTC M8 flagship leaked, FHD display and Snapdragon 800 expected

The Taiwanese smartphone maker, HTC is planning to introduce a new Android flagship smartphone in early 2014. The rumored flagship from the company is reported to be codenamed as HTC M8 and alleged specifications of the phone are also leaked. The popular online gadget leaker @evleaks has posted some information on the internals of the phone on its Twitter account.

According to the Evleaks, the HTC M8 will be featuring a 5 inch full HD display. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Operating system in the phone will be the latest Android KitKat 4.4. Other details on the phone are not yet available but it is also expected to arrive with the fingerprint sensor, much like that is found on the HTC One Max phablet.

Recently, the phone surfaced online in some leaked photos featuring the blue color variant. HTC M8 is going to compete against the flagship smartphones from companies like Sony and Samsung. The Korean smartphone maker, Samsung is already reported to be developing Samsung Galaxy S5 for 2014. Keep in mind that many rumors about the HTC One flagship suggested that it would launch with Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset, but it ended up launching with Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. So, it is very possible that the same thing may also happen and the HTC M8 flagship might arrive with a newer chipset. More leaked reports on the phone are expected soon, so stay tuned!
