According to our sources, Airtel’s phone with Lava will be priced around Rs 3,500. However, the phone will be available at an effective price of just Rs 1,699. Similar to the buyers of the Karbonn A40 Indian, those who purchase the new device will also be getting cashbacks from time to time after using it for a fixed period. It will also be an Android-powered offering that will come with a bundled data and voice offer, which you will be required to recharge every month.

As per our sources, the upcoming Lava phone will not be very different from the Karbonn A40 Indian in terms of specs. Lava’s offering will feature a 4.5-inch or 5-inch display as compared to the 4-inch screen on the A40 Indian. The latter features Android 7.0 Nougat, a 1.3GHz quad-core SoC, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage, a 2MP rear camera, a VGA front shooter and a 1,400mAh battery.

To purchase the Karbonn A40 Indian with Airtel’s bundled offer, you have to pay an upfront cost of Rs 2,899. You will need to make continuous monthly recharges for the next three years to get a cash refund worth Rs 1,500, which brings its effective price to Rs 1,399. The minimum monthly recharge for the smartphone is set at Rs 169, which gives you unlimited calling and 500MB of 4G data per day.

Our source also mentioned that Airtel is partnering with a third Indian brand for another 4G smartphone that will be effectively priced between Rs 1,399 and Rs 1,699.
