Aircel Cuts Rates To Join 3G Price Battle

AIRCEL-Launches-3G-Webpage[1] Escalating the price battle in the third-generation space, cellular telephone company Aircel on June 05 rolled out novel price plans that it called were the most affordable in the telecom industry. The newly announced price plan provides unlimited web access at Rs 8 daily that is just Rs 3 up as compared to the subsisting 2G data plans. The company turns the fourth telecommunication firm to cut 3G tariffs as the industry looks in the direction of increasing data utilization to hold up revenues. The fifth major telecom firm by subscribers stated its ‘3G Aircel Pocket Internet Smart’ data cards directed at the youth, permitted quick web access at costs, which were same as second-generation. Making unlimited 3G data usage its USP, the company launched plans starting from 8 on a daily basis to 999 on a monthly basis. The lowest costing plan allows web usage at 3.6 Mbps speed up to 50 MB of data download whereas the plan on the higher side offers up speeds up to 7.2 Mbps for downloading 10 GB of data. After hitting the limits, rapidity for each plan contracts to 128 Kbps. The company stated that its plans were accessible in all 13 circles where it has 3G procedures and could effortlessly work on 2G and 3G devices. Aircel’s marketing head Anupam Vasudev stated, “The plan is an Industry first with an aim to offer possibilities through the power of Internet at an extremely affordable price and thus empower the youth.” Over the last month, leading cellular phone companies including Bharti Airtel, Idea, Vodafone and RCom also slashed 3G tariff plans.
