Acer unveils Liquid C1

The Giant Notebook, PCs and Tablet manufacturer, Acer in collaboration with Intel ha launched a new Android Smart naming as Acer Liquid C1.


This Smartphone was earlier announced back in CES 2013 and now it is officially launched.

The Acer Liquid C1 sports a 4.3 inch IPS qHD Touch Screen producing a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Processor, Intel Atom Z2420 chipset coupled with 1GB RAM. The Chipset allows you 1080p encoding and decoding.

It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System. There are no official report about any Android update.

It houses a 8 Megapixels Autofocus Rear Camera with inbuilt LED flash and a VGA Front Camera for Video calls.

Acer Liquid C1 boasts 4 GB of internal memory which can be expanded by using a microSD card.

On Connectivity front, it supports 3G, Wi-fi, Bluetooth & GPS. This Smartphone is fuelled by 2000mAH Battery.

It seems that now major smartphone manufacturers want their devices to run futuristic and smart processors. Lenovo and Motorola are also working on a smartphone powered by Intel Processors.

On the launch event, Intel’s Head of Mobiles division said, “We’ve made a conscious effort to go after these fast-growing markets as our first foray into the business,”

The Acer Liquid C1 is the second Intel Powered Phone in this year. Earlier Lava launched an affordable Intel powered Smartphone naming as Lava Xolo X500.

This Smartphone is currently launched in Thailand with a price tag of $335 and Acer is expected to launch this device in other countries soon.
