“Read on for a quick unboxing with pictures and video.”
The successor to the Q1010, the key feature of the smartphone is its 8MP primary camera with a Sony Exmor R sensor. The snapper also features an LED flash, a 5-element lens and f/2.0 aperture. There’s also a 2MP camera in the front.
Other specs include a 5-inch 720p display, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage, and a 2,250mAh non-removable battery. While the Q1010i ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, XOLO has promised a KitKat update next month.
We’ve just received the handset, so let’s go through a quick unboxing.
The XOLO Q1010i comes in a rather heavy white box, which hints at plenty of goodies inside. The slide-out tray reveals the handset right on top.
Removing the top layer you’ll find a flip cover that XOLO is bundling free with the phone. It’s made of a faux-leather material, with stitching around the edges and a XOLO logo on the back. There are cut-outs for the speaker in the front and the loudspeaker at the back. Along with the case comes a free screen guard, another useful addition.
There are two identical flaps below this. In one, you’ll find a pair of in-ear headphones with rubberised tips, along with a two-pin wall charger.
In the other, there’s a USB cable for charging and data transfers. The Q1010i supports USB On-the-Go, and XOLO has thoughtfully provided a USB OTG cable as well. Rounding it up is a Quick Start Guide and a warranty card.
We’re looking forward to playing with the Q1010i, especially its camera, and we’ll be back with more on the smartphone shortly.
