Following the partial lifting of the ban on Xiaomi, the Chinese company has been quick to resume sales in India. The terms specified by the Delhi High Court allow the company to sell Qualcomm-powered smartphones in India until January 8th. The Redmi 1s (review | FAQs) was the first device to go on sale following the lifting of the ban, with the 50,000 units available via the Flipkart flash sale selling out earlier this afternoon.

There was strong speculation that the Redmi Note 4G, which is also equipped with a Qualcomm processor, would go on sale before the ban was put back into place, and today this has been confirmed. The smartphone is now listed on Flipkart, with the first flash sale scheduled to take place on December 30th at 2 pm. Registrations for the sale open at 6 pm today. 

For a recap on the specs, the Redmi Note 4G features a 5.5-inch HD display. Ticking at its core is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.6GHz, paired with an Adreno 305 GPU and 2GB of RAM. There’s 8GB of onboard storage, with an option for expansion via microSD up to 64GB. The smartphone features a 13MP primary camera with LED flash at the back, and a 5MP snapper in the front. It is fuelled by a 3,100mAh battery, and runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Xiaomi’s MIUI on top. As the name suggests, the Redmi Note 4G supports India’s band 40 LTE networks. Worth noting that this is a single-SIM device, unlike its 3G sibling. 
 
The Redmi Note 4G was also slated to go on sale via select Airtel stores. The smartphone is listed on Airtel’s website, and registrations are expected to open very soon.
