“The Redmi 4 is expected to arrive in two variants, with the higher-end model carrying Redmi 4 Prime branding”
Xiaomi today launched the Redmi 4A (first impressions) budget Android smartphone in India. In addition, the company also revealed that 95 percent of its smartphones in India are now locally manufactured. Additionally, the brand teased the launch of the Redmi 3S in India.
Oh and by the way, the successor to Redmi 3S is coming soon! How soon? You are just gonna have to wait 🙂 pic.twitter.com/R3uxDRAqN5— Redmi India (@RedmiIndia) March 20, 2017
The teaser can only mean Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi 4 in the country. The phone was launched in China last year in two variants. There’s a 5-inch HD variant with a Snapdragon 430 SoC and 2GB RAM, 16GB storage. Another variant is a high-end model with a 5-inch full HD display, a Snapdragon 625 SoC, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
The rest of their specs are the same including a 13MP rear snapper, a 5MP front shooter, 4G, VoLTE, MIUI 8 based on Marshmallow and a 4,100mAh battery. The brand is expected to launch these models as the Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime in the country next month.
