FarmVille developer Zynga Inc. has announced ‘Words With Friends’ will soon be available on Android phones and tablets. The most popular multiplayer word game is already available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users has over 10 million user. “Zynga is dedicated to making its games available anytime and on any device regardless of platform,” said David Ko, senior vice president, mobile, Zynga. “Bringing Words With Friends to Android means our players will have the ability to play and engage with even more of their friends and family wherever they are and whenever they want.” Words With Friends will be cross-platform giving players on Android and iOS devices the ability to play against more friends, family and random opponents. The features will be the same on both platforms, including the ability to play up to 20 simultaneous games at a time, in-game chat and push notifications. The Android version of the game will launch in Android Market as a free download later this month. In the coming months, Zynga will also offer an ad-free premium version.
