Damaka, a provider of mobile unified communications and collaboration (UCC), has launched Arenix — a mobile multiprotocol messaging and video collaboration platform that enables video, voice and text communication on any smartphone over any network via popular instant messaging services. Arenix connects smartphone users with their contacts across popular instant messaging providers including Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger, MSN Messenger, ICQ and AIM. The Arenix client unifies users’ buddy lists from all of their instant messaging providers via a unified communication messaging platform. With a single sign on interface, the Arenix removes the need to launch multiple applications to connect with friends across different instant messaging providers. Commenting on the launch, Siva Chaturvedi, chief executive officer, Damaka, said, “Arenix brings the fun and convenience of video communication to consumers with an easy to use, streamlined interface that works with any smartphone on any network.” Arenix Gateway provides a platform for service providers and IMS operators to quickly launch value added services and enable connectivity to third-party clients, creating a transparent interface for end users over WiFi, 3G and 4G networks. Damaka’s solutions are currently available on Android, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Symbian, and Windows Mobile.
