As rumored earlier, the Sony Xperia Z1 Android flagship smartphone is indeed going to launch on September 18th in the Indian market. Company has started sending out invites to the tech press in the country for its event on September 18th where it is surely going to launch its latest flagship for Indian consumers. However, pricing and the exact availability details of the phone are still awaited from the company.
To remind you, Sony Xperia Z1 features a full HD 5inch TRILUMINOS touch screen display with the resolution of 1920*1080 pixels. Its display is also powered by Sony’s X-Reality technology for mobile to provide amazing media viewing experience. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad core processor along with 2GB of RAM memory. One of the coolest features of the phone is the 20.7MP main camera capable of recording 4K quality videos.
It is also a dust and waterproof smartphone just like its predecessor. It comes with 16GB of internal storage which is further expendable up to 64GB via microSD card slot. The phone is running on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS version which will be soon updated with the newer versions of the OS. The phone will be released in the Black, White and Purple color variants and company is also expected to launch its Cyber Shot QX10 and Cyber Shot QX100 lens style cameras in the same event but it is not quite confirmed yet. Sony and Samsung will be having competition in the smartphone segment in the country because Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is launching on September 17th.
