Research in Motion (RIM) unveiled a new BlackBerry device in Bangkok but it is not for all of us. Announcing at a developer event yesterday, the mobile giant says it is just made for developers. Yes, its just a testy phone as of now. The phone do carries a Qwerty keyboard, as usual with all the models of RIM so far, and it is for people who want to test their apps with the upcoming BlackBerry 10 software. RIM will be handing out 1500 units of the phone to developers with conditions like number of apps they will offer, whether the apps are BlackBerry compatible etc. At later stage all these will be a good help to RIM in the production phase of the phone for commercial launching. Earlier version of Dev Alpha phone just had a touch screen and now with this new device developers can see how the apps work. BlackBerry 10 will be arriving in the new year and it may make its debut on two smartphones, one will have a physical keyboard and the other will come with just touch screen keypad. Meanwhile, RIM has also renamed its app store. Earlier it was called as BlackBerry App World and henceforth it will be named as BlackBerry World. It now also reflect that users can buy from the store their favorite music, films and TV shows. What are you thinking? Will all these save BlackBerry?
