Apple iPhone users can also get free Jio SIM cards as part of the preview offer

Up until recently, the Reliance Jio preview offer (that gave users a Jio 4G SIM with free calls and data for three months) was only valid with LYF smartphones purchased with an invite. The offer was then extended to include some select Samsung smartphone owners. Now, a report suggests that the carrier is looking forward to include select Apple iPhone users into the mix as well.

Reliance Jio is expected to offer the preview to all VoLTE enables iPhones, which include the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone SE. To recall, the preview offer entitles the user to get a Jio SIM with unlimited voice calls, SMS and high-speed mobile data for a period of three months from activation. The company’s pool of premium apps will also be included for the said period, allowing the customer to enjoy entertainment services, such as live TV streaming, video on demand and music on demand. When the offer is live, users will need to download the MyJio app on their iPhone and follow the on-screen instructions to get a coupon code for a Jio SIM.

During his visit to India earlier this year, Apple CEO Tim Cook met several top personnel from Reliance Jio. Rumours suggest that Samsung and Apple will not be the only brands offering Jio preview goodies, as more smartphone brands will join the bandwagon in the upcoming weeks. iPhone users can expect the official announcement as early as next week. Meanwhile, Reliance Jio has reached a user base of 1.5 million users, a number that is expected to increase rapidly with the new preview offers.
