“It may be late to the dual-SIM party, but the Windows Platform now has an offering in the form of the Lumia 630”We’d been expecting it of course, but it still made us smile when it was finally made official. We all know how popular dual-SIM phone are in India and other emerging markets, especially in the budget segment. On the other hand, Nokia’s WP-toting Lumia 520 turned out to be one of the most popular smartphones of the year 2013. Amazingly, there was no connection between the above two statements so far, but going by the latest developments, there just might be one going forward. Nokia used Microsoft’s BUILD conference to announce the very first Windows Phone device featuring dual-SIM support, and it’s time to say hello hello (twice, since this dual-SIM, remember?) to the Lumia 630. Of course, all three variants (counting the Lumia 635 and two flavours of the Lumia 630), will come with the latest and the greatest version of Microsoft’s mobile OS – Windows Phone 8.1. Signature experience from both Microsoft and Nokia, covering MS Office, Nokia Camera, free MixRadio streaming, free global maps and navigation using HERE maps, Nokia Storyteller and Nokia Creative Studio will be around for sure, but newer goodies offered by the latest update will the ones hogging the limelight – most notably, the drop-down Action Center and the swipe-to-type Word Flow keyboard.
