Motorola’s upcoming smartphone Moto G has been spotted on the web many times in leaked reports. First it was spotted on Motorola’s homepage next to the Motorola Moto X and then @evleaks Twitter account posted an alleged image of the mid-range smartphone along with specs info.
Now, an image posted by GSMArena has confirmed the specs of the phone. The blog has posted an image from the promotional material related to the phone for Phones4u store.
It turns out, the recent leak by @evleaks was not completely accurate. As per the latest leak, Motorola Moto G
will arrive with a 4.5inch edge-to-edge HD display covered by Gorilla Glass protection and 1280*720 pixels resolution. It will be running on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system version. It will be having 8GB of internal storage. There is no info if the phone will carry a microSD card or not to further expand the memory.
It will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It is going to sport 5MP rear camera, capable of shooting 720p quality videos and a 1.3MP front facing shooter. Connectivity wise, it is going to offer Quad Band, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and HSPA+ features.
GSMArena reports that the phone will be priced at 134.94 Euros off contract. Release date and availability date of the phone are not available at the moment, but it is expected to arrive this holiday season. The promo material image posted above has a Christmas tree in it, which kind of confirms its launch before the holiday season in certain regions.
