LG has finally announced the official pricing of its first smartphone with curved display for the South Korean market, the LG G Flex. The Korean manufacturer stated in a press release that the phone will be available to buy in Korea starting November 12th for 999,900 Korean Won, which roughly translates to $950 (around Rs. 59,000).
In addition to that, the company has also revealed its plan to release the phone in France next month via mobile carrier, Orange. However, it didn’t unveil the pricing of the phone for France. A recent report suggested that LG is also planning to launch it globally.
LG launched its much-awaited smatphone with curved display in October this year. It comes with a 6-inch vertically curved display, which is ultra-thin and ultra-light. It also features Real RGB technology to provide brighter and precise colors for better media viewing experience.
It is running on the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 operating system and is powered by a 2.26 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor along with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. It sports a 13 MP rear camera and a 2.1 MP front facing shooter. LG has powered the phone with a massive 3500 mAh battery.
The back cover of the phone is manufactured using Self-Healing coating, which supposedly has the ability to recover from the scratches and nicks from the daily usage. However, LG hasn’t yet disclosed how exactly it works.
