Lenovo has launched the IdeaPad Flex 2 hybrid notebook with touch-display in Indian market for Rs. 42,250. Company claims it to be world’s first dual-mode notebook with 10-point multi-touch screen with the ability to switch between laptop and stand modes. It can actually flip backward up-to 300 degree, then users can use it in the stand mode by placing it upright on a flat surface.
Design-wise, the new Lenovo laptop comes with silver grey edges and weighs just 2Kgs. It features a 14-inch touchscreen display with the resolution of 1366×768 pixels and runs on the Windows 8 operating system. It is powered by a fourth-gen Intel Core i3-i7 processor with 4GB of RAM and optional 2GB NVIDIA GeForce graphics card. Users can actually choose the processor they want their laptop to be powered by, and RAM of their choice up to 8GB.
It comes with a 720p front camera and connectivity wise, it offers WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI and Ethernet port. It is powered by a 48Wh battery which company claims to play full HD videos for six hours. Moreover, it is also able to provide 9 hours of backup in Windows 8 idle at 150 nits.
Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 2 offers stereo speakers with Dolby Advanced audio to allow the users to experience a rich surround sound. It comes with a 500GB Hard Drive with 5400RPM speed. Other features of the notebook include OneKey recovery, Lenovo Cloud Storage and Lenovo Voice control.
