Lava has launched the second smart phone in its Xolo series of smartphones named as Lava Xolo A700. Disappointingly there is no Intel processor inside. Rather it is powered by the same 1GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor which is powering the recently launched smartphones of Micromax and Karbonn. Now you can consider Xolo series as one among the China clad mobile brands.
Lava Xolo sports a 4.5 inch IPS display running Android 4.0 powered by 1GHz dual core processor and 512 MB ram. It is loaded with a 5 MP camera on the back and a VGA camera on the front. Xolo A700 comes with an inbuilt storage of 4GB which can be expanded further by 32GB. It is backed by a 1700 mAH battery. The phone supports Dual SIM functionality featuring 3G only on first SIM. Specification-wise, Karbonn A21 could be considered as the closest competitor.
Lava has recently entered into the entry level Android mobiles segment by launching Lava N350 and Lava N320 under the IRIS brand. For the mid range devices, its now utilizing the Xolo brand name which got a good hype for launching the first Intel powered Android mobile in world.
