The rising Indian Tech manufacturer, Lava International has added the first member possessing a Quad-Core processor to its smartphone family. The Jelly Bean flavored smart device, named the Xolo Q800, has been priced at Rs. 12,499.
The Q800 launched under the sub brand of Lava sports a 4.5-inch IPS display panel with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels along with a pixel density of 245 ppi. Running on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system, this Dual-SIM smartphone gets powered with a 1.2GHz Quad-Core CPU with MediaTek Chipset accompanied by 1GB of RAM.
It boasts an 8MP Rear camera with backside illumination CMOS sensor along with a 1.2MP Front Camera for video calling. It houses an internal memory of 4GB which may be further expanded externally up to 32GB via Micro SD Card. The connectivity features of the device includes 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS. Also, fueling the smartphone is a massive 2100 mAh battery.
Every Indian manufacturer these days is moving towards the latest operating system and processor. But, we may expect the Lava Xolo Q800 smartphone to give a tough competition to the Micromax A116 Canvas HD which also possesses almost similar configuration but lacks a CMOS sensor for its camera. Also, the smaller size of the Xolo Q800 may lure the buyers towards the comfort it offers. The camera specifications of the Xolo Q800 sounds much better than that of the Canvas HD and this makes us hope the device to seek much attention from the market as compared to its rival.
