Huawei has introduced in the Indian smartphone market its new offering priced at Rs. 4,999, in the budget segment of Android devices. The newly launched Huawei Ascend Y210D sports a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that has got a display resolution of 480 x 320 pixels.
Running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system, this device is powered with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon A5 processor accompanied by 256MB of RAM. It offers an onboard storage of 512MB which may be further expanded externally up to 32GB via Micro SD card.
The connectivity features of the device lists 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.The other specifications of the device include a 2 megapixel rear camera, Dual-SIM support and a 1700 mAh battery.
The new budget Android smartphone from Huawei is presently available from the online retailer Snapdeal but the buyers can also pre-order the gadget through Flipkart. Recently the segment of low-cost Android devices in the Rs. 5000 range has witnessed a lot of new addition such as the A35 Bolt and the A65 Smarty from Micromax which boast plenty of unbelievable features that can be offered in such a price range.
Micromax A35 Bolt features a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen along with a 1GHz processor and Android Gingerbread OS at a price of Rs. 4250 whereas the A65 Smarty sports a 4.3-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a 1GHz ARM Cortex A5 processor priced at Rs. 4,800
Thus, it would be quite interesting to see how the new innovation from Huawei makes a place for itself in the segment which has been preoccupied by its rivals.
