Huawei is planning to launch a Windows Phone operating system based smartphone in the Indian market dubbed as Huawei Ascend W1 in the coming days. The phone is currently listed on the official Indian website of the company with the tag of Coming Soon. It will be a direct competitor to the Nokia Lumia 520 smartphone in the Indian market. However, price of the phone is not disclosed by the company at the moment on the website.
Features wise, Huawei Ascend W1 comes with a 4inch IPS LCD touch display with OGS technology and offers 800*480 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor along with 512MB of RAM memory. It is running on the Windows Phone 8 operating system version and comes with 4GB of internal storage expendable up to 32GB via microSD card. It comes with 5MP rear camera with Autofocus and LED flash features & VGA camera on the front panel. It is powered by a 1950mAh battery with the talk time of 480 minutes on the 2G network. Connectivity features of the phone include WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G network support. The phone also comes with multi color choices including Blue, Red, Black and White which will surely attract the buyers who have loved the multi-color design of Nokia Lumia devices. Nokia Lumia 520 is priced at Rs. 10,000 in the Indian market and Huawei is also expected to launch its device under Rs. 10,000 price range.
