HTC is rumored to working on HTC Butterfly 2 Android smartphone which will join the not-so-famous Butterfly series from the company. If reports from China are to be believed than the next addition to the HTC Butterfly series will be released in the January next year. This smartphone series from the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer is not really so popular in the markets other than Asia, so it might be initially targeted for the Asian smartphone markets.
Reports originating from Chinese sources suggest the HTC Butterfly 2 will be featuring a full HD 5.2inch touch screen display. It is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor along with 2GB or 3GB of RAM memory. It is also being suggested from the Chinese sources that the phone will also feature some kind of waterproofing that we have already seen in many handsets launched this year. Nothing else has been rumored about the device including Camera features, battery capacity, operating system version, price, internal storage and availability at the moment. Google is reported to announce the Android 4.4 KitKat version next month, so it is highly possible that the next addition in the Butterfly series will be running that. All these reports should be taken with a grain of salt because it is just a rumor at the moment, but if it’s true than we might see some leaked images of the phone in coming days. In the meantime, all the thoughts regarding HTC phones should be set on the upcoming HTC One Max phablet which is reported to launch on October 15th. Via
