The HCL ME tablet Y3 is a study tablet built with firm chassis with a display dimension of 7-inch. The overall appeal of the tablet delivers the image of royal product which is pricy which is not the case at Rs. 11,999. The amazing design is contributed by the matte polish with classy silver back and borders with a jet black display panel. The tablet appears to be decent. The rear panel is housed with speaker grille, reset button and 3.2MP camera which might not be all that attractive with loads of text markings for the ports, model number and large company logo. On the right, there is a mini HDMI port, mini USB PC interface and charging port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and tiny opening for microphone. The top is fitted with the power and volume button together with compartments for microSD car slot and two SIM cards. The tablet has a dimension of 11mm thickness and weighs 322.5 grams. Along with the tablet there are exciting offerings of charger, headset, mini USB cable and small micro-fibre cleaning cloth. The HCL ME Y3 tablet is an interesting package of calling tablet with dual-SIM support which houses a 7-inch WSVGA HD screen with a powerful resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The Y3 is fitted with an ARM Cortex A9 processor which operates on 1GHz and is inserted with a PowerVR SGX531 graphic processor. The system is designed with 1GB of DDR3 RAM with an internal storage of 4GB. The operating system is incorporated with Google’s Android ICS v4.0.4. The battery used is 3100 mAh. The connectivity options rolled out are 3G via SIM, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, A-GPS and mini USB for PC interface, USB OTG and charging. The Y3 is also equipped with an in-built FM radio with RDS and recording capabilities. There is also an FM transmitter that has the ability to transmit all audio on FM frequency and can scan for unused FM channels in your area with your desired frequency. With the in-built FM radio you can actually transmit music at home or in your car.
