“The Celkon Campus A35K is a budget smartphone  with universal remote capabilities”

The domestic phone maker Celkon , today launched a new variant to the last year’s Campus A35K, which was then hailed as the cheapest KitKat phone in the market. The uniqueness of this year’s variant – Campus  A35K Remote, lies in the prefix itself. The Campus A35K remote features an infrared transmitter, which enables it to be used as a universal remote. One can control televisions, set-top boxes, DVD players, air conditioners and much more – all using the smartphone. The phone also boasts abilities to set reminders, choose favourites and check channel guides using the Peel Smart Remote app.

All other specifications remain unchanged since the previous year’s model. It has the same 3.5-inch screen with 320 x 480 resolution, 256MB RAM and a 1GHz processor. The phone features a 1,400mAh battery and is available in blue, black and white options. This phone is priced at Rs 3,199 making it one of the most affordable smartphones to feature an IR transmitter.
