Airtel has launched a new ‘Call me back’ service for its customers to stay in touch with their near and dear ones even if the balance in their mobile is less that Re 1. The user will be able to send a message to the number from which he expects to get a call back. Airtel will send an intimation in the form of an SMS to the no. from where the subscriber wants a call back. This will be particularly beneficial in situations where outgoing calls are not allowed due to low balance.
The user will be required to send a free of charge SMS with the word ‘CALL’ <space> <Airtel mobile no. you want to talk to> to 121. Airtel will send the message intimation stating the name of the subscriber along with the information that a call back has been requested to the other party. User with low balance can avail this service 3 times a day.
The service is available for both prepaid and postpaid customers.
